On March 18, 2012, they served lunch to the residents of BOC. Nasirat actively participated and helped serve the food, clean the tables and wash the dishes. It was an extremely rewarding and gratifying experience for all those who participated. Nasirat who volunteered for the first time were deeply touched and moved by experience. Ahmadiyya Muslim Community sponsors a meal at Broward Outreach Center

Women and children from Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (Miami) sponsored and served a meal at a local homeless shelter (Broward Outreach Center in Hollywood, FL) in the month of Ramadhan. They donated 100 lbs rice and 90lb meatballs and later served the dinner. Many Nasirat and Atfal took an active part in serving the dinner and offered tremendous support to Lajna members. They also helped in the cleaning up of the dining hall at the end of the dinner. The essence of the spirit of Ramadhan is to relate to the poor and hungry and feel their sense of deprivation. This ultimately fosters a sense of humility and enhances compassion and one feels obliged to give/share more for the sake of God. Extraordinary outpouring of generosity is characteristic of Ramadhan and it is expected to be emulated the rest of the year as well.
